Answer To What Are Your Weaknesses Interview Question

Interviewers who ask, "What are your weaknesses" do not expect you to admit to an embarrassing weakness. And while they know you've the rehearsed an answer to the greatest weakness interview question, interviewers want to see how well you handle it.

How to answer, "What are your weaknesses?"

You need to have several arrows in your quiver to handle this question. That's because some interviewers will press you to reveal a true weakness. When that happens, offer an answer and hope it satisfies your listener. If it doesn't, move on to the second answer. If that doesn't work, use the third and fourth answers in turn.

Answer To What Are Your Weaknesses Interview Question

Here are four answers to the weaknesses question. As mentioned in the last paragraph, they're intended to be used one at a time -

Answer #1

"I guess we all have weaknesses. But it's been a long time since I've thought about mine. I prefer to focus on my strengths and make them even stronger. That's why I've had such a successful career up to this point."

This is a good answer to the greatest weaknesses interview question because we're all born with strengths and weaknesses. To be successful, you need to focus on your strengths and use them the most. You must also be aware of your weaknesses and stop doing them.

If the interviewer says you haven't really answered the question, move on to....

Answer #2

"As I said, we all have weaknesses. But from what you've told me about the job, I know I won't be required to use a weakness."

At this point, you hope the interviewer will move on to the next question. But if she continues pressing, say...

Answer #3

"What I love about the job is that it allows me to use my strengths."

Finally, if the interviewer insists on another response, go to....

Answer #4

Talk about a technical skill that's not related to the position you're seeking; a skill you can easily learn. Then explain how you're working on "an area I've targeted for improvement." Here, you're replaced the word "weaknesses" with, "an area I've targeted for improvement."

You can say, for example, "I've gotten a bit rusty in my hands on computer skills since becoming a manager. So I'm spending time each week doing hands on work in order to stay on top.

In a nutshell

An interview is not a confessional. Whenever you're asked, "What are your weaknesses?" avoid talking about a shortcoming in your personality or admitting a true weakness. Both would be deal killers.

Job Interviews - The Secret Weapon That Will Get You the Job Offer

Every job seeker looking for a dream sales job wants a "secret weapon"-the edge that will make potential employers eager to hire him or her, and willing to bestow high salaries, benefits, and bonuses. In many cases, that weapon is the 30/60/90-day sales plan: it's a written plan that explains to the hiring manager how you'll spend your time in the first 3 months you work for the company, in detailed steps that demonstrate exactly how you'll be an asset. It's an almost-guaranteed way to impress any hiring manager or hiring team.

Of course, knowing that you need one and actually putting one together are two different things. A little internet research can get you access to free templates, which can make you think you're home free. However, you need to remember the old adage: You get what you pay for.

The 30/60/90-day sales plans available for free online aren't really templates; they're only samples. You take what you can get from it and create your own plan that you hope is good enough to attract the attention of a hiring manager. What's the difference between that and a true template? Quality. Why does it matter? Well, how important is your career?

Job Interviews - The Secret Weapon That Will Get You the Job Offer

What do you really need?

o You need an actual template-one that you can plug your own information into with minimal time and effort that still results in a quality product you'll be proud and confident to show to any hiring manager.

o You need a mentor. Someone with an insider perspective and 15 years of experience in sales, sales management, and sales recruiting who can coach you-tell you how to put together a winning sales plan and how to present it in your interview.

Where can you get it?

The Sales Recruiter has put together everything you'll need to get the sales job you want: a true sales plan template plus over 30 minutes of audio coaching that will boost your confidence and give you the edge you need to make you stand out from all other candidates and secure your job offer.

The Importance Of Interviews

Imagine you have just received an invitation to a job interview. How do you normally feel? Elated, Inspired and raring to go? Or are you terrified, resigned to your fate and overcome with a sense of impending doom? How important do you view Interviews?

Interviews are a fact of modern life and interview skills will be used by us many times throughout our lives. Most jobs are filled as a result of these one-to-one or one-to-a panel meetings between the employer and the best candidates, but interview skills are needed in a variety of situation. Turning natural worries and fears into determination and dynamism is the key to success. Whether you are applying for a job, a promotion, a training programme, or even a bank loan, we all need to know about the processes involved in the interview and how to impress other people at first meeting. With part time and temporary work increasing, we will all be attending interviews more frequently in the future.

The skills involved in creating a favourable impression are the same skills that make us confident at meeting people in any situation, whether at work or socially. If you know how to generate a favourable impression, have an impact on others and present yourself as an interesting and valuable person, and you will be a winner more widely than just at a job interview. Your social presence will also be enhanced in a variety of situations.

The Importance Of Interviews

Whether you are applying for a job or a course, appearing before just one or a panel, you will need to know how to present yourself confidently and enthusiastically. But it is important not to portray that you are cocky in any ways. Interviews are often seen as the major hurdle between us and the job we want. But an interview, whether for a job vacancy or anything else, is a marvellous opportunity. This is because you are in control of most of the impressions that the interviewer will form of you.

In an interview, we cannot be made to say anything you do not agree on. You must admit that this is a comforting thought. Although it may be difficult to believe, the interview will mostly go the way that you want it to. Of course, you will not be in control of the selection of the interview panel or the other candidates, but there are many things you can do to improve your chances of appearing as the best person for the job.

Many people think that it is a pure fluke whether they are successful in interviews or not. To them, the outcome seems to depend on whether the face fits, being in the right place at the right time or some other unidentifiable cause. But the outcome of the interview process is not determined by chance. We can exercise considerable control and influence over the way the interview is conducted and, more important, over the outcome.

175 Power Verbs and Phrases for Resumes, Cover Letters, and Interviews

While you're revamping your resume or cover letter or constructing your proof-by-example stories for interviews, you'll find you need to watch your word choice. Why? Communication is powerful if the words we use to communicate are powerful. That's not all it takes, but the right words make for a good beginning.
So as you craft achievement statements or write paragraphs that sell your skills or draft interview responses to knock the employers' socks off, consider these suggestions:
Use verbs in active tense, not passive tense. Use verbs that convey power and action. Use verbs that claim the highest level of skill or achievement you can legitimately claim. Use verbs to accurately describe what you have done on the job. Use adjectives and adverbs sparingly, but when you use them, use them well. Use nouns that are as specific and as descriptive as possible. Use numbers whenever possible. Use the most impressive (and still honest) form of the number you use. Never lie! It IS NOT worth it. It WILL catch up with you. Proofread all your verbs and nouns for agreement, tense and appropriateness. Here, then, are 175 powerful verbs and phrases to make use of in resumes, cover letters and interviews:
abated abolished accelerated accomplished achieved actively participated administered advanced advised aggressively analyzed applied assumed a key role authored automated built hired closed coached co-developed codirected co-founded cold called collected co-managed communicated completed computerized conceptualized conducted consolidated contained contracted contributed controlled convinced coordinated cost effectively created critiqued cut dealt effectively decreased defined delivered designed developed developed and applied directed doubled earned eliminated emphasized enforced established evaluated exceeded executed exercised expanded expedited facilitated filled focused formulated fostered founded gained generated ground-breaking headed up helped identified implemented improved increased initiated innovated instituted instructed integrated interviewed introduced investigated lectured led leveraged maintained managed marketed motivated negotiated orchestrated organized outmaneuvered overcame oversaw penetrated performed permitted persuaded planned played a key role positioned prepared presented prevented produced profitably project managed promoted proposed prospected protected provided published quadrupled ranked received recommended recruited reduced removed renegotiated replaced researched resolved restored restructured reversed satisfied saved scheduled scoped out selected self-financed set up sold solved staffed started stopped streamlined substituted supervised taught tightened took the lead in trained trimmed tripled troubleshooted turned around upgraded yielded While you certainly can use the list anytime you're looking to say something in a more powerful way, you can also use it to help jog your memory about accomplishments on present and past jobs that you might otherwise overlook. Also, consider using the list to help you refine your resumes and cover letters to be more powerful in their presentation and communication.

Preparing For a Panel Interview

So you finally got a job interview invitation and you couldn't be happier. You're now one step closer to landing your dream job. You now receive a call from the company representative advising you to prepare for a panel interview. As if a single interview is not stressful enough; even more so with panel interviews.

Though less common, panel interviews are very possible. And because they are quite not the ordinary, more often than not, the company will inform you regarding the matter ahead of time. Just so you can prepare well. And you definitely should.

Panel interviews can be nerve-wracking. The thought of speaking in front of 2 or more people being questioned can be quite challenging. Here are some tips to survive and hopefully pass the panel interview with success:

Preparing For a Panel Interview

You would need to be in your best possible condition, be physically and mentally prepared as they say. Get adequate rest the night before your interview. A good night sleep will keep your mind afresh and sharp the next day. You would definitely need that for your big day.

Also, avoid going to the interview with an empty stomach. Get yourself a good (preferably healthy) meal prior your interview. This will give you a steady supply of energy needed both by your mind and body.

If you're an experience job seeker and have been to numerous interviews before, you now have some ideas on what they will ask you -common interview questions about you, your education or previous work experience, etc. Try to practice some lines - especially the "introduce yourself" part, so to start off the interview with confidence.

Get to know more about the company and job position your applying for, the job description to be exact. Learn as much as you can about the organization. Familiarize yourself with the company's history, mission and vision, and policies. Dig dipper if you must so you won't necessarily look clueless on the interview itself.

Dress appropriately. The importance of proper dress code couldn't be stress even more. The phrases "dress to impress" and "dress for success" should guide you well. Come in perfect business attire. Wear your best tie if you must. If you have a silk necktie, you should not have any second thoughts of wearing it, especially if it will make you look smart.

Prepare your own set of questions ahead of time -your concerns, expectations, or questions about company policies etc. Panel interviews are rarely one-sided. Often times, they would give you a chance to ask some questions too. Doing so also indicates your level of interest for the job. Of course, don't ask silly, unrelated questions. Be smart, professional, and courteous. List your questions prior your interview and preferably, memorize them too. It's quite annoying to see you glancing on a piece of paper while all eyes are on you.

Of course, as with one to one interviews, it's also natural to feel some level of nervousness. But don't let this get on your way. Relax and keep your poise. Yes, this is easily said than done, but being able to keep your emotions in control will go a long way.

Here's another tip - During the interview, take one question at time.

How to Get Rid of Interview Nerves

A recent research shows that most of people while attending their very first or second interview face the problem of interview nerves. This interview nerves simply make them nervous and depressed. This mainly happens due to lack of confidence and belief in oneself. Most of them even suffer from sleepless nights and arrogant behavior.

They feel as if interviews are nothing but an interrogation by an unknown person who will judge them by their answers. They simply can't understand or comprehend that the interviews are as beneficial for them as for the company.

To overcome these problems they firstly need to make their mind set for facing the interview full of confidence. This can be done by building up confidence that this job is for me only. To remove your I-nerves you need really need to do some home work before you go through an interview. This home work includes preparation for the estimated questions which can be asked in the interview. You also need to be prepared with a few details of the company like its products, vision, recent achievement, etc. This is just to have an upper hand in the interview so that you can explain that you are the right candidate for the company. The second thing that you must remember at the time of interview is to act confident tough you are nervous. One must be completely relaxed before the interview. Because stress is one of the major reasons which reduces one's performance ability. Read out your C V for two or three times and be prepared to answer any question asked in reference to your C V. If you still find it difficult to reduce stress then do something which gives the most pleasure. Smile plays a vital role reducing stress. In fact smiling is a natural antidote to stress. It is because smiling releases endorphins. Also if any time you feel that your nerve is getting the better of you than take a deep breath in breath out and stretch along with a smile, you will feel relaxed.

How to Get Rid of Interview Nerves

Another way of getting over with your nerves is by a well known therapy called as hypnosis. Hypnosis is a very effective therapy which is generally used for curing nerves of Examinations, Interviews, Meetings, etc. Hypnosis mainly activates your subconscious mind so that you are extra alert and attentive what you are doing. Thus this gives you a lot more confidence to deal with.

Now here are some of the tips you must follow for your interview. You must be fully prepared for the interview and you must possess everything required. You must maintain a complete eye contact with the interviewer, because it will show your confidence. You must not do any nervous acts like being fidgety, fixing your tie or touching your clothes dress again and again. Be positive while talking and use your hands to express yourself. With hypnosis you can come in terms with such a situation and will be well prepared to face a barrage of questions that come your way.

Developing, Detecting and Deciphering Deviance and Deception During Employment Interviews

One skill that is very much needed for all human resource directors is the ability to detect deception, but this is not an easy talent to learn. Surveys show that over 75% of the people lie in interviews, I guess it is interesting considering how employees so often condemn the employers.

Some folks have an education to deal with such things, other have an intuition about people and their experience levels assist them in spotting people who are lying or deceiving. Hiring the wrong employee or a chronic liar can cost the company millions of dollars in efficiency. Worse, if an employee lies in the job interview employment process the talent needed for the job is not met and that means someone else who does have the talent did not get the job.

All of this lessens your company's organizational capital.

During human communication there is a lot of nonverbal communication going on and policemen, psychologists, as well as FBI personnel all learn to spot when someone is not telling the truth. Research studies prove that lying becomes visible in the face, body, posture and in the speech; therefore it is important to have an education in seeing the signs.

Should companies use lie detector tests?

This can become expensive and the Employee Polygraph Protection Act of 1988 prevents employers from using this test except for certain types of jobs. The easiest ways to tell if someone is lying is by their body posture, but you can also tell when they touch their face a lot or blink their eyes rapidly or gaze off into a certain direction as are trying to figure out what to say and create a story to go along with their previous lie.

Sometimes the choice of words can also tip off a human resource director to applicant deception, however the interviewer must understand that there are cultural differences with the English language and thus, this technique will not work on all people. These are just a few of the things that human resource directors need to know and it is important to brush up on this if you're going to be interviewing future employees. Think on this.

So, how can you get the ball rolling and conduct successful roommate interviews? Just follow these 8 simple steps and you'll no longer find planning interviews a daunting experience.

Roommate Interviews - Planning Interviews in 8 Easy Steps

1. Make A List of Candidates to Interview

This list should include people who you have already asked to attend an interview and those you wish to invite. The number will depend on the amount of suitable respondents, promised interviews and the time available. So that you can compare the candidates to each other, you should interview at least 3 people.

2. Create An Interview Timetable

To ensure all roommates can attend each interview you should set aside 1 or 2 days that are convenient to all household members. Even though each interview will last about an hour, you should leave more time in your timetable in case an interview goes longer than expected or a person arrives late.

3. Prepare Questions

Each potential roommate should be asked the same set of questions plus any additional questions you may have that are specific to that person's situation. The objective of each question you ask is to find out if the interviewee matches the profile of your household's perfect roommate. When preparing questions, it's important to include questions about finances, previous living experiences, housework and lifestyle.

4. Design Your Interview Questionnaire

Filling in a questionnaire with the questions you have prepared helps you keep track of the responses you will receive and ensures that you don't forget to ask any important questions. Creating a questionnaire is as easy as setting up a template that lists the questions you have prepared with spaces in between each question for you to write the answers given by interviewees plus any additional notes.

5. Answering Questions And Giving Out Information

You and your roommates will need to work out answers to questions that you may be asked during interviews and which information you would like to provide to potential roommates. This is especially important if there have been recent upheavals in your household.

6. Decide Interview Place and Tone

The location where you conduct interviews and whether interviews are formal or more relaxed is important as they play an integral part in the first impression you create about your household and how it runs. If your household currently consists of just yourself, it's a good idea to meet prospective roommates in public place like a Café or shopping center. After you feel comfortable with a candidate, you can invite them to inspect your home.

7. Invite Selected People To Interviews

When inviting people to interviews you should ring them as early as possible so that they can meet you within the time frame you have set aside for interviews. Sometimes you may need to alter your schedule to fit in with the interviewee's previous engagements especially if you are ringing them at short notice or you feel they could be your perfect roommate.

8. Review and Amendments

After setting interview times with potential roommates, you will need to hold a small meeting with your roommates to confirm interview times and make any further decisions or arrangements, for example, deciding whether to select another person to interview if a previously selected potential roommate has already found a new home.

These 8 steps are designed to guide you through the planning stage of the roommate interviewing process. Just remember, by taking one step at a time, everything will fall into place and you'll never feel overwhelmed at the prospect of interviewing roommates again!

Good luck and happy roommate hunting!

Download Wii Games - Where To Download Games For Nintendo Wii?

The popularity of the new Wii console has led a lot of us to wonder if we can download Wii games. A quick search online turns up lots of sites offering Wii game downloads and talking about the possibility of getting these games. However, it can be hard to tell which sites are reliable, safe from viruses, and provide quality games.

A good Wii download site will offer both older games and new releases. The Wii's support for classic Nintendo games means that you have the ability to download your old favorites, as well as the flashiest new games. If you want to download Wii games, look for a site that offers a good variety. Don't give your information or money to any site you don't trust, or that feels shady. Stick to well designed sites that won't sell your information or fill your computer with malware.

Console Games

Generally, you'll find that there are two different kinds of sites on the web offering Wii game downloads. Some charge a price per file download. Others allow you access to an unlimited number of games for a flat fee. Which you choose will depend on how many games you need. If you want to download Wii games extensively, an unlimited site will be your best choice. If you are just looking for that one special game you can't find anywhere else, however, paying by the download will be cheaper.

Download Wii Games - Where To Download Games For Nintendo Wii?

To download Wii games, some sites may require you to download special software. This software will either connect to the site's main server, or to other users of the site, allowing you to download the Wii games you want. Remember, to play downloaded games on your computer, you'll also have to be able to find an emulator that operates the way the Nintendo console would.

If you want to download Wii games, it's easy to find a place that offers them. However, choosing where you want to download from can be a little bit harder. Look carefully at all the available sites offering games for download before you pick one. You could be downloading the latest Wii games, or your old favorites, within a few minutes of registering.
