One skill that is very much needed for all human resource directors is the ability to detect deception, but this is not an easy talent to learn. Surveys show that over 75% of the people lie in interviews, I guess it is interesting considering how employees so often condemn the employers.
Some folks have an education to deal with such things, other have an intuition about people and their experience levels assist them in spotting people who are lying or deceiving. Hiring the wrong employee or a chronic liar can cost the company millions of dollars in efficiency.
